Strengths Finder 2.0 by Tom Rath is an amazing book that will help you to identify your talents, the areas you are good at. If you could live your life using these talents your days would be more productive and you could live a happier life free from most of the stress and frustration.
The all book is focused on the idea that there are things we are naturally born talented with and other things we don’t like that much. So in our life we should tend to focus more on improving in the area we are more talented, focusing more on our strengths and not our weaknesses.
In my case is clear that I am more focused on the future that in the past, so a job that would force me to work with old procedures will kill me and on the other end I love challenges jobs where the procedures are always upgraded and I have to keep always an eye into what’s happening next. For someone else could be the opposite and it’s important to understand what we are good at so we can make people focus on their strengths and not their weaknesses.
When you buy the book you will receive a unique code. With that code you have access to an on line assessment that, in about 30minutes, will help you defining your top 5 strengths. You will also get 10 ideas for action for every talent, for a total of 50ideas, things you would do in your life to bring it to the next level.
Here are my strengths
Individualization
People who are especially talented in the Individualization theme are intrigued with the unique qualities of each person. They have a gift for figuring out how people who are different can work together productively.
Futuristic
People who are especially talented in the Futuristic theme are inspired by the future and what could be. They inspire others with their visions of the future.
Ideation
People who are especially talented in the Ideation theme are fascinated by ideas. They are able to find connections between seemingly disparate phenomena.
Activator
People who are especially talented in the Activator theme can make things happen by turning thoughts into action. They are often impatient.
Learner
People who are especially talented in the Learner theme have a great desire to learn and want to continuously improve. In particular, the process of learning, rather than the outcome, excites them.
After finding my strengths I decided to open this blog. It seems that I am good at inspiring people, I love ideas and I make things happen. Basically good talents when your plan is to change the world
Stop devoting time to your shortcomings and start focusing on your strengths.

I found out about Toodledo in The One Minute To-Do List (1MTD), by Michael Linenberger. I read before Master your Workday Now by same author and I found his method simply revolutionary.
Toodledo is a free tool to organize your To-Do list in a very practical way, keeping it synchronized between multiple devices. At the moment I have it in my MacBook Pro and my iPod Touch.
I have been using the list since yesterday and I just had the most productive 24hours in the last 6months.
Combining the power of Toodledo with Michael Linenberger system could improve your productivity so much. The all system is based into dividing your tasks in 3 zones
Critical now: things you need to to today
Opportunity now: tasks that you don’t have to do today but they will become critical soon and if you complete them today they’ll bring lot of benefits.
Over the Horizon: tasks you can review in a week cause they might become more urgent later on.
To Do lists don’t work cause we tent to prioritize tasks in the wrong way. When we prioritize by how important a task is everything becomes important, and when everything is important nothing really is.
So two advices for you:
Create a Free ToodleDo account and put there all your tasks
Read The One Minute To-Do List: Quickly Get Your Chaos Completely Under Control
and Master your Workday Now (Master Your Workday Now!: Proven Strategies to Control Chaos, Create Outcomes, & Connect Your Work to Who You Really Are).
Your life is not going to be the same after this.
If I had my life to live over again,
I would try to make more mistakes next time.
I’d try not to be so damned perfect;
I’d relax more, I’d limber up.
I’d be sillier than I’ve been on this trip;
In fact, I know of very few things I’d take quite so seriously;
I’d be crazier … and I’d certainly be less-hygenic;
I’d take more chances … I’d take more trips …I’d climb more mountains … I’d swim more rivers …And I’d watch more sunsets;
I’d burn more gasoline,I’d eat more ice cream – and fewer beans;
I’d have more actual troubles and fewer imaginary ones,You see, I was one of those people who lived sensibly, hour-after-hour and
day-after-day;
Oh, that doesn’t mean I didn’t have my moments,
But if I had it to do all over,
I’d have more of those moments,
In fact, I’d try to have nothing but wonderful moments, side-by-side.I was one of those people who never went anywhere
without a thermometer, a hot water bottle,
a gargle, a raincoat and a parachute;
If I had it to do all over again,
I’d travel lighter next time.If I had my life to live all over again,
I’d start barefoot earlier in the spring
and I’d stay that way later in the fall;
I’d play hooky a lot more.I’d ride more merry-go-rounds,
I’d pick more flowers,
I’d hug more children,
I’d tell more people that I loved them,
If I had my life to live over again;
But, you see, I don’t.”the Journal of Humanistic Psychology~
